Scammers!!!! When I joined the gym, I also hired a personal trainer for 6 months. Due to my gym closure, I couldn't finish my 6 months training. I was already charged for all my 6 months training however still almost 2 months of my training is left, which worth's about $500. Which due to Covid and Gym closure I couldn't continue. What can I say, I tried all month to get my money refunded to my account for membership dues taken out. Wendy and Skylar have been little to no help at the LA Fitness here in Melbourne Fl at Lake Washington and Wickham. I told Skylar in the middle of May that my wife and I would not be coming to the gym in June, she said that she would place a courtesy hold at no charge. After I cancelled in person and confirmed with the front desk person that I would not be charged, I was charged for months until I found LA fitness charge on my bank statement. Honestly, screw this business, I hope corona wipes them out.

I joined LA Fitness in mid March, and I had a free initial session scheduled in 2-3 days. Time confirmed. The person that was supposed to meet me wasn't there. Someone else did that session for me. I signed up that night for personal training, scheduled a second session, the very next day. This time, the trainer no showed, after confirming via text. I wanted to give it a no star but had to settle for one star. Please do no join this gym. They have charged me $160 for personal training sessions that never occurred due to COVID 19 Pandemic. It is ridiculous trying to get a straight answer from management at the Lakeland, TN location. How could I have personal training sessions when the gym was closed? I called on 6/1/2020 to cancel mine and my fiancés membership with LA Fitness the person I spoke to suggested I freeze it for three months so the billing would stop and I could decide at the end of the freeze if I still wanted to cancel, which I did. I checked my bank account and on 6/1 there was a charge for 26.74 and on 6/2 there was another charge for 51.56 from LA Fitness after they said there would be no fees taken until after the freeze. Lately, I am very frustrated with La Fitness company service. Due to COVID-19, I stopped attending the gym in March and called them about it. After they resumed, I called them and asked to cancel my membership because the pandemic is still continuing. At 64 yo, I do not want to get sick. They refused to cancel by phone. I paid for first and last months membership, canceled my membership in April and two months later, still cant access my membership i paid for. They have no interest in their members and thats why I decided to leave. they make it so difficult to get any member information or to even talk to anybody out of club. The worst customer service. A friend of mine recently bought a membership at the gym on Main Street in Dunedin, FL. She told me the gym allows members to offer a friend a two week free trial.
