I called this location to cancel my membership. The representative who assisted misled me into believing he cancelled my membership. Instead, he had me sign up for a new membership that started 3 months later....Upon checking my bank statements, I realized in Oct '21 that LA Fitness/Fitness International has been stealing money from me! I tried to cancel my membership since I have moved from the area. I called twice and received three different answers including, " can cancel on-line", "has to be done in person 9-5", " has to be in writing and mailed in to the corporate". Except for the last one, all are incorrect.I went on a Sunday to my club which is located *******, **. Try to be transparent and more ethical to your customers when you are doing business, it is not a proper way of doing business to see the annual fee on the credit card surprisingly after signing the contract, saying that there is no such thing, despite being asked many times if there is any hidden payment when a contract is made. Our biggest mistake was not reading the contract instead of listening to you. This LA Fitness facility is a Total Scam There was a display card on the front desk stating that there is a promotion of a month free personal training program. So when I inquired about it one of the personal trainer named Chase (claiming that he was a manager) said that if I sign up today (as this promotion is no longer going to be there from next month) he would not only give me 1month free training but if I'm not satisfied and let him know before November 1st 2021, he would cancel my contract. I am not able to cancel my membership if I do not go to gym an cancel. I am not able to physcially go to gym. LA fitness makes it very difficulty to cancel online. No option is provided on my app to cancel either. The email log in is not an easy task either. I am still trying to cancel this membership, ongoing task!
They purposely make it hard to unsubscribe from their service.
Today my friend gym membership was revoked because they assumed he was a trainer. No warning about working out with your **************** He never solicit any one to workout with him for free or money .. he is a gym junkie 2hr a Day five days a week @8 am for 6 years. I'm sharing a horrible experience I've had with this gym @ Cundles in ******, ******* and am still going through. I signed up for a 6 month personal training commitment back in September of 2020 for a 6 month term. Covid happens and the gym is no longer able to operate as of December 25th 2021 . I have been a member since March 2021. I also signed up for personal training in April 2021. On September 9th 2021 I injured my knee. I havent been able to work due to the fact that I am on crutches at least 90% of my walking time. In October 2021, he still didnt clear me to workout from another 6 weeks.
