My mother went to the a La Favorita Bakery in South Gate, CA on Tweedy Blvd and she was not allowed to pay with more than 5 pennies. My mother wanted to just stop buy for some bread for her daily coffee and used what little change she had but the cashier insisted on not allowing her to pay for bread with pennies. I will not be returning to this location for this reason. Last time I checked a penny has monetary worth and if your company allows employees to refuse specific payment my pennies will be accepted elsewhere.
The best bread. .. hands down...
