Taqueria La Cumbre is an original Mexican restaurant in Mission District of San Francisco. High ceilings, cheerful and well lit area, and festive decorations create a warm ambiance. The table legs are an innovation, carved into shapes of people holding out offerings. The burritos, enchiladas, guacamole, black beans, and everything else are fresh and tender. The burritos are especially famous, being the first restaurant to create the giant "Mission style" burritos the district is now known for. Wash it down with ice cold beer... read more

The Taco Mountain La Cumbre Taqueria or 'The Taco Mountain' (as I've translated) is a fine fine taco-munching establishment. Nice service and tasty treats. HMMmmmmmmmm
Taqueria La Cumbre is the best and great flavor The Cumbre is the best!! I LOVE it because it has lots of flavor and love in the cooking. I also love it because it is quick and easy to eat! I love the burritos that are always smelling good!!
Taqueria La Cumbre is crap now La Cumbre has had a significant downhill slide. What used to be a great place with delicious food prepared with care and pride, has become sloppy and careless, with attitude. Tough, gristly carne asada (when the order was for carnitas) was inedible. They've lost an over-30-years customer. Blech.
Awful experience!! We were extremely unhappy with the entire experience, not only was the food very dissapointing but the service was awful, the women working were rude and could care less what we wanted. We will never go back and left very turned off.
I put that Burrito before you: READ IT IF YOU CAN. Taqueria la Cumbre, when I was feeling oh so lonesome, wandering around the city of San Francisco by myself on a weekday afternoon, despairing, starving, and unable to conceive of my true home on the East Coast, you provided me with a pillow of meat and cheese wrapped in a delicious flour tortilla, and for that, well, I know not how to thank ye.
A great burrito for cheap La Cumbre has weathered the years on Valencia Street, witnessing whole neighborhoods appear and disappear around it, all that time serving a fine burrito. The atmosphere inside is quiet, with plenty of seating for groups or just by yourself. As far as the food, burritos are the trusty warhorses round here. Check out the hot sauce they serve also.
