La Corneta is my favorite taqueria in the Mission. It's far cleaner than anything else around, especially Taqueria Cancun. The carnitas are the best I've had. I only wish they had pastor.
Great Food and no more – great food but i ordered my food and it took over 20 mins for them to finish the order. I don't mind if they were busy. But they were just talking and this happend more then once
best mexican food in SF – People will tell you Pancho Villa is the best Mexican restaurant in town, this is wrong, La Corneta in Glen Park is the best. I think people aren't talking about this place because they want to keep it a secret from the tourists etc., as the lines are long enough! Yum. – Everytime I go to La Cornetta, I get the freshest and tastiest burrito around. At work, we have La Cornetta Day. Everyone dines on Veggie Burritos and Tofu Burritos. Doesn't get better and who needs the grease!! But, if you're into heavier fare, they have it too.
Worth the wait! – Yes there is often a line, but that just gives you time to anticipate some of the best Mexican food around. Love the super tacos and fresh hot salsa!
even the pinto beans are great – La Corneta has set a new standard in Taquerias. They're ingredients are such high quality, which is why their food is so great. If you've not on a budget, try their seafood! La Corneta is the new king of the Mission Taqueria, go there now before they get too crowded!
YUMMMM – Exceptional food at an exceptional value in a nice environment
Steak and Shrimp burritos rock! – My friend was not impressed with his quesadilla. However, all the dishes I've personally eaten there have been decidedly yummy. In particular, I highly recommend the (fresh!) salmon burritos, and the super steak-and-prawn burritos. Also, note that they have whole wheat and spinach tortillas, but you've got to ask for them RIGHT when you step up, or they'll start using a plain tortilla!
