La Cita Bar

4.1

About this business

La Cita embodies downtown's hipper than thou-art gentrification at its best. While this place has been remodeled to include flashing red lights, kitschy tiki-lanterns, and walls covered in artwork, La Cita still prides itself to be a Mexican-themed hangout. You could call it a “dive-bar” or a “local-hot spot”, you could even consider it as a “dance club” because DJs spin the tune Monday through Friday, and on Saturday and Sunday check out the live music. But regardless of what label you at... read more

Beer prices Ecxellent for Happy Hour in Patio. Just like other places you gotta pay entertainment prices. Cool when there's a good band or event night. The band that was a cover for Caifanes and Jaguares Killed. Lit the place on Fire. Upside. Downside. Felt bad for opening Solo act. I know It happens alot. If there was a sound engineer. He could have done something to quiet down the snair drum. He was cool. But a little to much noise and distortion. My friends around me said they kept hearing the snare. I Djd for bands and i... read more

Took about 1 hour to get in, place was over booked. Inside was hot, muggy & stinky . Outside patio was nice but couldn't enjoy it with the over crowd . Ladies room and was disgusting! Bartender was rude, to get a drink was a mission. Band played late, couldn't really enjoy it because people would just push they way thru. I DON'T RECOMMEND!

IT TOOK A DARN HOUR TO GET IN . El conjunto Nueva Ola was good although played really late . Nothing was helped by the fact that they over booked the venue ( way too many people ) Trying to get drink was a mission , kinda like sitting on 405 fwy during rush hour . Fighting your way to the front of the bar wasn't helped by the bartenders cold service . Trying to make eye contact with her , was almost like trying to pick up on a Diva . SHE JUST WASN'T HAVING IT ! anyway , when I did she yelled out “ next time tip the bartender... read more
