Our favorite Mexican place in Hammond. We always get the steak fajitas. Excellent quality beef. I've had lesser quality at "steak" restaurants.
This Place is Amazing, the food is cooked to order fresh, well seasoned and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I enjoy leaving nice tips for waitress and definitely 1 of my top 5 places to eat in the state.
**problem resolved.. manager handled problem well. Also, employee that made up some stuff to try to get to our price was reprehended. Go to Government location. HALF THE PRICE FOR THE SAME THING. Also management is rude and once I asked ab my bill for 2 people being $90.15 he just added up stuff to get as close to that as possible BUT STILL THE WRONG PRICE. None of it makes since.

I love La Carretas. It is my favorite Mexican resturant. They have terrific servers Espically Austin
The service is excellent. But have you ever had real Mexican food? Or even Texmex? They praised their fajitas but the beef was too tough and the vegetables were bitter which can happen from inexperience. Tortillas are store bought and have no flavor. If this is the best LouisiMex then I'll never eat it again.
