Dr. Wood has been my doctor for many years. He saved my life due to his interest and intent to give the best of care. He doesn't overlook anything! He studies your condition and takes it as serious as if you were his family! He is very kind. Another thing about Dr. Wood.....he listens! After you have Dr. Wood as your doctor, you will soon find that no doctor compares to him. He gives excellent, brilliant, and talented care! He seems to like a good challenge!!!!
What’s awesome about Dr. Wood is that he is so incredibly relatable. He really gets down my level to explain what’s going on with my kidney disease in a way that I understand. He is very attentive and concerned about my overall wellbeing - I know he is probably in high demand with other patients, but when I have appointments with him, I have his full attention and he makes me feel like I am his biggest priority. He’s clearly a fabulous physician and provider - but what makes him truly great is his compassion.

Dr Wood is one of the kindest and most caring people I have ever met. He is a skilled surgeon and a distinguished scholar. His bedside manner is excellent. UAB is lucky to have him as a surgeon.
After waking up from surgery was told I had a twisted ureter was told I would have to learn to live with it and was not given anything for pain
