Microbews! Kutztown tavern is a great comination of good bar food and great microbrews. The bar is located in a college town which means I avoid the area on weekend nights. The food is simple but tasty and the staff is very courteous. Delicious wings.
Good, but costly. The food is delicious, but it's definitely the most expensive place in town. Prices have gone up astronomically since they opened. Most food is priced relatively high and cocktails cost double what they do at Basin St. or the Pub. It's a great place, but it'll cost you.
College Hangout Supreme Underagers beware...they want the college crowd, but not the college underage drinkers. It's homey and reminds me of Cheers, but with a younger crowd.
Kutztown Tavern, home away from home Great ambiance, great service, and yes, great food at reasonable price. We feel much obliged to the staff at the Crystal Cave for recommending Kutztown Tavern. And, I will sure recommend it to tourists in the area who wish for a variety of good food and comfort away from home.
My favorite restaurant in kutztown! Kutztown Tavern has a varied menu of high-quality choices to please every palate. Everything on the menu is delicious, particularly the Mediterranean salad and the bbq chicken pretzel pizza. They are adding new items all the time, so the menu on their website is not always up to date. Service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant proper has an attractive brick interior and is good for groups, if you go at the right time. TVs at the bar make it a good place to watch the phillies.
RecommendedLove coming here anytime in Kutztown area. The food and in house brewed beers are amazing every time. A definite staple in the area!
