My husband and I went to the Tavern tonight for dinner. We sat right away, and our waitress, Sarah, came over almost immediately to take our drink orders. My husband had the raspberry stout and I had one of the special mixed drinks. Both were delicious! We shared wings as an appetizer... the Parmesan peppercorn sauce was the absolute best!! My son is in his 1st year at Kutztown University and I wanted to take him out for a nice dinner. He recommended the Kutztown Tavern having been there once before. This is a very nice place. Very spacious and nicely decorated. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but indulge occasionally, usually getting a Yuengling lager. They didn't carry that, but being a tavern that brews it's own beers, our waiter recommended a beer that was very close to it and it was great. Love the Margarita wings!!! The beer flites are a fanstatic way to try new beers...
Service was good, nice bartender, nice atmosphere, I had the open face steak cooked perfect. The fried sampler was awful, nothing but deep fried frozen foods, not worth the $12.95 it cost.
