We are a third and fourth generation family bakery established in E St Louis in 1919. We offer a full line of family recipe items. We have rye, cream, and specialty breads. We also offer scratch baked decorated cakes with our own special buttercream. Stollens, strudels, donuts, danish, cookies, coffee cakes, peanut cake, and of course gooey butter!

RecommendedEverything they do is great. I have people visit from out of town who want to go there every day because they don't have anything this good where they live.

Everything I have ever had from there since I moved here in the late 70’s, has been ooooooh so Delicious‼️ What I liked most was their white cake they used for wedding cakes! Oh my, and the frosting they topped it with-oh yes, nothing but the most and moist absolute best at Kruta’s (Superb) Bakery🌹❣️
I’ve never been big on pastries, but Kruta’s cream horns are so good, I’m starting to believe they love me back. Get yourself one!
Kruta’s has been my bakery since childhood. Now, I’m treating 6 Grandkids with their perfect glazed doughnuts!

I can't believe I'm posting a negative review for Kruta's. My family and I have been loyal customers of Kruta's for 50 years. Since they were in E.St.Louis on Goose Hill. Instead of retyping everything, you can go to my FB site and read my sentiments of Kruta's and the wonderful tradition for oh, these many years. This year they changed their policy. Mr. Palus, I'm afraid I haven't been on Facebook this week so I was unable to respond to your messages. Last year Christmas was on a Sunday--a day we are normally closed. We decided to be open, but only for prepaid orders. Four members of the Kruta family worked in excess of four hundred hours in the seven days that led up to that Christmas week.
