I will keep Dr Updegraff as long as she is excepting my insurance and when I have to get coverage that South coast does not accept I don't go to the doctor. I have been to many over my 55 yrs. on the earth and she has by far has had the best attitude and bedside manner of any doctor I have every had. I have been seeing her now for 8 to 10 years with a few missed years because of insurance coverage.
Always been happy until now. Had to walk out on our appt as was kept waiting in exam room for over an hour - no one came in to apologize for any delays... It takes months to get an appt and when I needed to see the dr when I was ill, I was informed that it would be a couple of weeks before I could get in........?? Have to find a doctor who we can actually see when we need to
My husband & I went to Dr. Updegraff for several years. We could never get in to see her when we were sick. When we called for an appt we would have to wait sometimes days or up to 2-3 weeks to be seen. I had a problem with high blood pressure for at least two years but she would never put me on medication. It had gone on so long I was having shortness of breath & dizziness but could not get an appt. Was told to cut back on sodium. New Dr put me on medication & I feel like a different person.
Dr. Updegraff is the absolute hands down, no question BEST general practitioner M.D. in the tri-county area. Yes, depending on time of day for an appointment, it can mean a wait. But, she is never too busy to listen and explain and outline care or treatment options. So, if the doctor takes as much time to do that with every patient, I understand and accept the delay.
The BEST doctor I've had in GA (and Ive gone to MANY).
She is a true blessing! I absolutely love her. My only regret is that I didn't find her earlier in life! I'm 65 now and have been seeing her about 20 yrs now. She is one of the most caring, kind human beings in the planet. We need more doctors like her!!
Dr. Updegraff is a wonderful person and a great doctor.
Dr. Updegraff is probably the best family healthcare provider in the region. Sometimes wait times can be a bit longer than expected, but all of her patients don't mind a bit. She is awesome.
All I can say is she is more than worth the 8 month wait it took to see her.
