My son sat in the ER lobby for 4 1/2 hours yesterday. They had no beds in the ER so no one was allowed to sit and advocate for him. He was diagnosed with “just” a kidney stone (the doctor’s actual words to me over the phone). They never gave him any fluids or anything for pain. I understand COVID has made things challenging but there is no excuse for negligent patient care.

If I could give it a zero I would. Left urgent pediatric case sitting in waiting room. Makes it clear they don’t want parents around or involved just like their criminal friends in the school system. Using covid to perform illegal searches on visitors. Forcing covid tests on patients or they let them die. They suck!!!

At the birth center, they left a woman in labor sit by the security guard and another patient had to wait too before being sent in. They care more about covid protocol than they do about treating patients. The guard was totally clueless about anything to do with this special department. Awful. Shame on you Carroll county.

Very expensive- cost over $450 for a eye exam, and a additional $135 for the "eye doctor" to see me. This is without getting any glasses. They do not provide a "actual itemization" (complete breakdown of what you are being charged for) when requested, and states that Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission that sets their rates.

The wait in the ER is completely ridiculous every single time I am here. The staff doesn't seem to care about your problem regardless of the seriousness nor have any hustle to address the problem & get it corrected. You arent a patient or a person for that matter. You are a number & $$. If your health issue is serious, go elsewhere if you can.

this is the worst Hospital in Maryland the only reason this hospital is number one is because it is the only Hospital in Carroll County Maryland. my child was rushed to Carroll Hospital Center yesterday he had 24 seizures all in 5 minutes. instead of my son seeing a specialist ASAP they sat him in the hallway where he sat from 1 o'clock until 3 o'clock because there were no rooms available.the previous week he was rushed to the hospital with the same seizures where he sat in the room for hours on end without seeing a doctor ... read more

I am a RN of 28 years and a Nurse Practitioner of 15 years and I had a terrible experience in the "family birth place". Not family oriented. There was a terrible snow storm and non passable roads (reported 2-3 feet) in which case my twenty year-old daughter's water broke sending her into active labor. We called 911 and were taken via ambo to the hospital. We were thankful that everything went well with the delivery, and we understood why there was a change in plans due to the weather. This is the WORST hospital I have ever been to. It started off okay. The nurse who took my info was great but then I ended up with an awful male nurse who wouldn't even check on me. I laid in that room for more than 5 hours they didn't even give me a call button. My condition was getting worse and when I finally was able to get up and ask for help I was still ignored and then told "oh you're fine." I came to the ER for a reason I was not "fine."
