I really like this place because I can get the exact type and quantity of hardware I need. No more 10-packs when I need 2. The employees are always friendly, attentive and helpful. No hassles at checkout or with exchanges. It simply doesn't make sense for me to go back to big-box tool/hardware stores.
I have never experienced such exceptional customer service! I can't say enough about this store. Move over Home Depot and Lowe's--- I will be visiting Kovarik's first!
I don't write reviews, but I will here. Joe and his staff are fantastic!! Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable on everything they carry. Hard to find items can almost always be found there. Forget the "Box Stores", shop local, you will get better service, more knowledge, and just plan better people to do business with. THEY ARE THE BEST!!! :)
What I once thought was a great family-owned business turned out to be a huge disappointment with totally unprofessional service. Not to mention overpriced compared to Home Depot.
This place is the best! Shop local people. Small store that always has what you need when the big brand stores don't. Nice people too!
Just an FYI: the people at Lowe’s and Home Depot plumbing areas do not know their a$$e$ from a hole in the ground. If you need plumbing help, I highly recommend Kovarik True Value Hardware on Clinton St. in Binghamton. After dealing with the Big Box � stores for an hour and seeing guys who’ve been at it “for 35 years and have never seen that before”, I went to Kovarik’s and showed him my old part.and the guy walked 4 feet down the first aisle and there it was. Has everything we need plus hard to find items for our old house. Plus I treat myself to a bag of oldertimers candy when I go :)
