I got my first root canal from Dr. Koelliker, our family dentist recommended him to me. I thought the procedure would be painful especially based on the pain, pressure and extreme sensitivity I was experiencing. It seriously was less painful than getting a filling. This is the first time I've written a review on a dentist or Endodontist but seeing as how it was the worst experience I've ever had in my 45 I has to say something...He was rude from the moment he walked in, very condescending and had little to no concern for my pain. He was also very combative. I suggest that you avoid this doctor and tell friends and family to do the same. All he cares about is getting his money even though I just gave him 420 dollars

I was extremely nervous about getting a root canal. I have TMJ dysfunction, so even routine dentist visits are a challenge because it's hard to open my mouth wide enough. Dr. Koelliker put my mind at ease with his friendly manner and his explanation of each step. He was able to work with my small mouth without a problem. He worked efficiently and professionally. I was ready to pull my own tooth a few months ago. I was just in so much pain. My regular dentist told me that I needed to have a root canal done and he recommended Dr Koelliker. Immediately after visiting him, I was relieved from my pain. I felt so overdramatic with how scared I was prior to getting the procedure done but Dr Koelliker was really sympathetic and understanding. I've been to Dr. Koelliker 3 times in the last 7 years that I've known him. If he didn't only do root canals I would probably go to him for all my dental work. He was extremely professional and very sensitive to my needs. I didn't feel a thing and I was out of the chair before I knew it. I was so impressed by how well he worked that I had my grandmother visit him the following week. She was so impressed by him that she had her 2 friends go in as well. I went to Dr. Koelliker on the advice of a friend and couldn't have been more pleased with his bed side manner, the friendliness of his staff and ease of treatment. I would recommend him to my mother.

Poor "bedside" manner. Treated like cattle coming through his office. My son waited for 2 hours yesterday and was treated as though he were an inconvenience. (Had I known he was going there I would have warned him to run far away.) He was treated roughly which only served to heighten my son's fear of dentists. I will ask that my dentist not recommend Dr. Koelliker again. He was rough and not at all sympathetic to his discomfort. terrible chair side manners. more concerned if you paid in full, than helping you. Overheard him making derogatory comments to other patients regarding how their mouth stunk due to abscess tooth. He had complete disregard to the fact that he was treating PEOPLE in pain and in need of care.
