Avery cuts my 14 year old son's hair. He has shoulder length hair and we've been around the East Bay trying to find a more styled look for him and finally found Avery. They made his hair more manageable for sports and cut it to highlight his naturally wavy hair with minimal (read no) maintenance - he looks great and loves his cut.

This was my first time at Knuckleheads and Harlots. Frank immediately made me feel comfortable and welcomed. When they say your appointment is for an hour they mean it, Frank took time to make sure everything was perfect! Frank is my guy now without a doubt!

I got a great haircut from Avery! I came to my appointment with a clear sense of what I wanted and a complete inability to effectively describe it, and Avery was able to make it happen. Their prices are super reasonable and we ended up having extra time so they gave me a wash and style at the end of my cut.The space itself is sort of whatever to me, but Avery did a great job giving me a look that worked with my hair texture and the aesthetic I was hoping for, and one that requires, as I want, very little to be done to it in ... read more

I'm pretty finnicky about my hair and when I moved to Oakland about a year and a half ago I picked this shop out of a hat and it's been spectacular the entire time, honestly can't believe I'm just now getting around to writing a review.
