5/22/26 Edit: Just heard from Edison and the new system installed by Klaus saved us 34% on our June electric bill. Our 37 year old HVAC finally gave up the ghost. As always, I called Klaus & Sons to look at it. They gave it a red shirt look and said "It's dead, Jim." They (David) then worked up some possible replacements and I chose a middle level Lennox, two stage system. They removed the old system and got the new one in, no small feat given limited space. After initial confirmation for a service call Klaus and Son’s changed my appointment from Thursday to following Monday. During the service appointment I was told that I will need 3 pounds of Freon 22 actually the correct one was 410A. After the service the technician told me that he had put in 4 pounds. The charge of $ 140 /pound of 410 A seems excessive. The customary charge in the industry is well below this cost. Unfortunately, the company was not transparent regarding the charges. I called Klaus and Sons and they were out within the hour. Fernando was great and so was this apprentice they got my air-conditioning up and running again very thankful to them, They were great
