One of the best Y's I've been too.
Very clean and well run. A lot of options for different types of activities to achieve fitness. While I've managed to hit it fairly well, it would be nice to have a few more lifting racks. But, very affordable for what they have to offer.
Love the Spin classes. Great equipment, music, and instructors!
This morning I visited this Y from out of town and the Membership Coordinator went out of her way to locate my membership because our local Y had not got everything in the new system. She was excited I was there, encouraged me to come back as often as I wanted, and offered to show me around. I've visited some YMCAs as a guest where it felt like I wasn't very welcome and this was absolutely not the case here.
The Y has everything. No fitness center can top the number of classes, track, 2 pools, personal trainers and a massive amount of workout machines in 3 locations. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and sensitive to your fitness level for safety .
Hours change in the summer... close way too early- if I could find another place that has a lap pool I would cancel membership. I work until 8pm most days so 9pm close time prohibits me from getting my workout in at my convenience- there were over 10 people working out at 9... I guess I don't understand the business logic.
It's has a lot of new machines in the gym. Always helpful employees. Just wish more of the machines.
