Best Mountain in the Tahoe basin, lovely terrain,great grooming, lots of steeps, no crowded lift lines or runs. Awesome place to ski.

If only there were more stars. What could have been a tough day turned out beyond amazing. It was a grand adventure. Four 13 year old boys had been planning for over a month. All beginner boarders. I was the brave one to bring them. Plan was for me to ski while they were in their lesson. I Forgot my jacket. Ugh! The shuttle driver was a joy to talk with while riding from TC to the Village. Not that many people when we went, and my wife and I took full advantage of the empty trails. Kirkwood isn't as fancy as its other Vail resorts, but it has a family feel to it that you can't get anywhere else in the Sierras.
