Many of my teachers care more about curriculum than their students, and it feels as though BYU-I wants you out as soon as possible, cutting nearly all stress-reducing elective classes.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and am grateful for this school extension to Brigham Young University of Utah, the long-standing campus. The Idaho branch is convenient and offers the same programs and coursework.

Recently they changed the rule for the scholarships. Now no matter if you have a 4.0 GPA they will no longer pay full tuition, just half. I personally think this rule will discourage students to try hard.

While there is plenty of room for improvement, I recommend this university to anyone in search of an affordable education and/or a likeminded community. Though there can be drawbacks to being in a religious bubble, I have personally had my testimony strengthened through my interactions with classmates and other members of this great community.
