Lacking in cleanliness and bedside manner. Just got a phone call from Doctor after 3 days. Then I could barely understand what the heck he was saying. My husband was diagnosed with a very serious infection, wonder if it was due to him sitting in bed and not being able to make it the bathroom without assistance. Nurse calls me at 7:30 am in the morning telling me my husband has a nose bleed and can't stop the bleeding. Said it was going on for 45 minutes. What am I suppose to do? All I can say is God help the patients that are their by themselves and have no one to act as an advocate for themselves. Just sad. Short staffed every day. One day not person came in the room at all. Just wanted to see how long it would go on before any one showed up. Really? Dropped off food tray that was it. Dr. Came in and that was it. Finally had to call supervisor about getting out . Watch everything they do that's all I can say.
If it wasn't for my family and myself and lots of prayers, my father would have never survived. They just looked at him as an old man dying. One nurse self diagnosed him with dementia. Had a neurosurgeon do extensive test and his brain was fine. It was the meds they were giving him!! Took time to get the staff to understand we would be there everyday pushing them to give him the right care!! Otherwise he wouldn't be here today working in his yard, running errands for the family etc!! GOD IS GOOD!!
We have gotten great care here. The staff is great and very friendly. Everyone is also very accommodating. I like the continuance of care with the doctors we had in Tomball Hospital.
