I cannot say enough about how compassionate everyone is at Gentiva. Every step of the way, we were supported, comforted, and encouraged. Having your loved one diagnosed with a terminal illness is such a difficult and emotional experience, and I can’t imagine how we would have done it without the Gentiva team. We will be forever grateful for the excellent care that my mother received during her time in hospice.

Martina was an exceptional social worker who showed true compassion and attentiveness from the very start. Even before she knew she would be assigned to my mother-in-law’s case, she was observant and deeply concerned about her pain. I have carefully read all of the reviews and I feel compassion for those who left them all. My mother moved in to my house on hospice and lived for two years. If you are not prepared or knowledgeable, the entire process will be quite overwhelming. Hospice allows for you to care for your loved one at home. They are not caregivers for your loved one, they are support staff. My mother had a lovely aide, Keandra, who came twice a week and never missed a bath day. Gentiva Hospice personnel were exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, caring and accessible at all times. Their help and expertise at managing end of life situations was invaluable to me. I highly recommend this company if you are in need of hospice services for a loved one. Special thanks to Lillie, Laura, Ke-Ke, the intake people, the Social Worker, and the Chaplain who I met and were great sources of support during a very trying time.

Gentiva handled my father’s last days. They were helpful, informative, very communicative and most importantly very caring. I talked with several different Gentiva employees and each one treated us as if we were their only clients. They went above and beyond to make such a hard time was a little easier. I hope to never have to use Hospice again, but if I do, Gentiva will be my choice!
