Killer Shrimp Oh man it's true - this shrimp is killer - killer tasty - killer spicy and killer addictive. You can have shrimp with rice or bread and they offer for 1$ more to peel it for you - worth it! the shrimp is amazing and the spicy soup that it floats in is even better - go straight for the bread basket and dip the bread in the spicy soup - and to hell with the carbs - cause it tastes so good!
Shrimp, Shrimp, and Shrimp – The place has a limited menu because it only serves shrimp. But that is their forte. The broth is very, very tasty, and having it with a side of rice or bread can warm the belly. If you don't want to get messy pay the $2.00 to have the shrimp pealed. The Cesar Salad was was excellent. I can't wait to go back and try the shrimp with rice. The server said to order the rice on the side.
how is this place still open? – all i can say about this place is, WHAT A DUMP. the walls of this place are painted dark and the lighting is equally so, probably so you won't see what your food looks like. and the food, you ask? a big bowl of spicy shrimp drowned and swimming in OIL. if you consider greasy shrimp a good meal, you've found your haven. personally, picking the shells off of oily shrimp and eating them is not my idea of a good meal. DISGUSTING is the best adjective i can find for this place.
Killer Shrimp Kills The Appetite – Looking forward to a fabulous seafood dinner, dont attempt to find it at this restaurant. Ambiance was less than favorable as was the rude service. The waitresses would rather run behind the bar where there were not any customers to serve than to answer any questions one has regarding the menu. I was trying to find out about the spice intensity of the food. The waitress was very snappy and walked away in the middle of the conversation. Negative food marks would include stale bread, veins in... read more
YUM! – I LOOOOVE the bread and shrimp item. It is a slightly spicy, soupy "stew" that you eat with dipping the bread. It is sooo delicious and it is definitely enough for two adults to share. Another time I tried the shrimp and pasta which was not as impressive. I will never get that again. The only damper is the ambience. Its dim, but not really in a romantic kind of way and its kind of a mood killer. I would probably go there more often if it werent for the ambience.
YUMMY! – Killer Shrimp is delish! Although I was shocked they only had 3 menu items, it was okay. I chose the shrimp in the sauce, put the bib on, and went grabbing for shrimp and bread. Not for those who dont like to get dirty eating. Their sauce is great and my brother and I finished up the whole bowl. Recommended for shrimp lovers like myself. Order 1 thing for 3 people- trust me!
Consistent for 15 years+ – My 1st time at K.S. was in 1986, most recent - 3 days ago. The food is always awesome. The taste from your first experience has sent me over the edge with mad cravings for the steaming broth in big white bowls, with the slice fresh soft french bread ready for dipping! Stop & get a the kiddies a Happy Meal, wear a bib and CHOW DOWN! Save room for that decadent sweet potatoe pecan pie with homemade whipped cream!! My mom took me, and now I take everyone I know! Take out is great too! Can be romantic ... read more
Best Shrimp, Best Ceasar, Best Pecan Pie – They only serve what they are great at. Their menu consists of shrimp over rice, pasta or in an amazing stew with bread to dip. And for $1 extra you can get them peeled. The best ceasar dressing I have ever had and the pecan pie is perfection. I don't recommend this place if you don't eat shrimp. It is all they serve. Great Food!
awesome shrimp! – I tried this place after reading reviews here. Get the shrimp & bread combo. The shrimp isn't peeled so you gotta de-vein the shrimp but the broth is where it's at. The shrimp & rice isn't as good because the rice sucks up all the broth. The shrimp, broth and bread go excellent with a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I'd go tear it up over there any time.
