Having opened its doors in 2014,Killen's Barbecue is a highly popular local hot spot serving Texas style barbecue. The no-frills restaurant concentrates more on food than ambiance as can easily be witnesses by the contrast of the utilitarian set-up and the perfectly-cooked, slow-grilled dishes. Come in early before the food runs out and have your fill of pulled pork, brisket, rubs and smoked sausages. You can try out the full variety of meat options with their six meat plate or simply get a sandwich for a light lunch.

Phenomenal barbecue - everything from the brisket to the beef ribs to even the turkey is incredibly moist and tender. The sides are delicious too - every detail of the food has clearly been considered carefully and perfected. This barbecue beats Goode Co, Cooper's, Smitty's and Kreuz Market in Lockhart, and just about anywhere else!
One of the top BBQ spots, ranks with Coopers and Kreuz's. try the giant onion rings! The carrot cake is worth the drive, no matter how far! The mac n' cheese is surprisingly good! The meat plates are a great deal and include two sides. There always seems to be a line, so it's not a place to go for a quick lunch.
Best BBQ I've ever eaten. And the carrot cake is over the rainbow
This barbecue is so delicious, the beef rib was amazing,we got one and shared it at our table. We also loved the creamed corn ,the coleslaw and the bread pudding is the best and I am from Louisiana so very critical ,we will certainly be back.
Overpriced - Dozier's in Fulshear still wins for pork ribs hands down, especially at $22/slab, not $14/pound. $18 / pound for beef ribs (especially when a pound of it is bones and you get charged 3 pounds for 2 ribs)?? Go west young man - not south. Fat side of the brisket no bueno. My 2c...
Yes, yes & yes!! The experience at Killen's was one of my best chow times I've ever had. My son & I enjoyed pork & beef ribs & brisket too. Our sides were creamed corn, broccoli & cheese casserole, coleslaw & mac & cheese. We couldn't leave without desserts of banana pudding & bread pudding. I am a good cook, but I could find no fault in any of killen's meats, sides or desserts. These folk know what they're doing. We'll be back for sure!!❤

The brisket was outstanding. The sausage had a very good flavor but I did not care for the consistency. Coleslaw and pintos were excellent.
Exceptional service from the start of the line, to the cashier, to the time we finished! Great service amd the food was amazing- we had family from Philadelphia and they loved it!
