A safety recall (NHTSA recall number ******) was issued in March, 2021 for my 2020 Kia Sportage. The recall advised there was "a defect that could result in a fire occurring in the vehicle's engine compartment". Today is October 12, 2021. The Kia Store East, on New LaGrange Road, where the vehicle was purchased new by me, has not been willing to perform the SIMPLE rework. This dealership sold me a vehicle Plagued with recalls and customer complaints. It has been from moment of purchase experiencing excessive oil consumption using as much as 5 quarts of oil between oil changes. The dealership and manufacture were well aware They of the many problems of this year and model and sold it anyway with disclosing the hundreds of complaints and it current engine defect!
