After hours of research & unanswered calls to Monroe transportation and KW airport, I reached out to COC to find out how exactly how to find the Lower Keys Shuttle stop near the airport. My question was answered swiftly, promptly & didn’t even have to go thru an automated system. With no direct “Lower Keys Shuttle” stop at the airport for the “city bus/lower keys shuttle” - one needs to grab a cab/uber to either N Roosevelt or Stock Island bus stop (5 minute drive either way). I am not coming back and will not recommend key west to anyone because of the greeting we got at sunset near Mallory square. We staked out our spot on the pier an hour before sunset. 10 minutes before sunset someone comes up and stand behind us with a dog that starts howling at the sun. Apparently the dog insists on coming down to the pier at sunset. And they do this often. My wife asked if that is necessary.
