I came to Forefront Dermatology in Wausau specifically for help with severe hair loss and oily scalp. Unfortunately, my experience with Kyla Teresinski was disappointing. At the first appointment, instead of focusing on my hair loss (the reason I came), Kyla spent most of the time talking about my skin and acne, which I didn’t ask for. Had a very successful appointment with Dr. Issa on the 25th of June for a full body scan. He was extremely thorough and thoughtful in his approach and took several samples for further study and analysis. I could not recommend him more highly.

I am so upset with them. I go in, the procedure is ok. However, one of the spots is ON TOP OF A NERVE ENDING. Extreme pain, unable to work or use a computer, no medication offered and the pain is too intense for Tylenol. So they don't care about your physical pain, or your ability to work. I ask the staff about what number to expect in my caller ID. They say it will come up as "Forefront Dermatology" or a Wisconsin number. I asked because of how many spam calls I get. Staff see to be competent but there are serious, glaring issues with communicating with them. Prepare yourself for high frustration. As a existing patient I was unable to speak with ANYONE at their office after trying over ten times to get through to any of phone extensions during business hours. Had a simple but critical question since I might require antibiotics. Before giving up contacting them I did finally get through on my call routed to operator in Africa…. yes, another continent. I wanted to give thme NO stars. As to professional competence: I can only say that when I mentioned the name of a U of Michigan Medical dermatologist, I was told that they refer their tough cases to him. As to the efficiency of the clerical staff: Recently, I visited their office in Muskegon (where they do business as "Lakehore Dermatology") to make an appoinment to follow up on the recommendation of a Florida dermatologist. I needed to get in to have a mole looked at, I have a history of melanoma. Trying to make the appointment was difficult, then the morning of my appointment I get a text telling me that I may experience longer than normal wait times and if I needed to reschedule I should phone the office. TERRIBLE medical practice.  Terrible policies, don’t care about patients, their privacy or their experience AT ALL (even though upper management says they do).  Can not get ahold of anyone to discuss problems.  Staff is rude, hurtful and clearly unhappy there (which pretty much says it all).  MD was excessively fast, not sure a thorough skin check was even done (she missed identifying the 1 cm red  lesion on my chest that my primary sent me in for.  Told me I needed an expensive surgical operation (with 90% effective rate), ... read more

They couldn’t get me in and out of there fast enough.  Dr. Kevin Crawford barely glanced at my rash before prescribing ointment and steroids.  I am allergic to multiple medications and when I asked if what was prescribed was ok given the list of allergies I provided to him, only then did he look at the list to see if what he was prescribing would be ok for me.  He also suggested light therapy, but wouldn’t tell me what that would cost - wouldn’t even give me a price range- just kept saying it would depend on my insurance.  T... read more
