There comes a time in your life when one is down and out with being overweight. Depressed and felt like I had no other option, God intervened and presented me with Dr. Huguet. Once I met him I know everything would be alright. The way he explained what was happening to me and the solution he presented, was so uplifting. He and his staff held me up throughout the entire process. Now I am a little over 1 week postoperative and I am so happy. He gave me a new life, a better and healthy way. I don't have an IT degree so I was unable to fill out the patient questionaire. Calling back the office staff was insulting and frustrating. Happily I found another surgeon whose staff answered immediately(no press 1, 2.or 3), mailed me my paperwork and was bending over backwards to be helpful.
I was very pleased with the outcome of port placement procedure. I recommend Dr. Huguet.
In January, 2020 I had laparoscopic hernia repair performed by Dr. Huguet. It was explained to me that carbon dioxide gas would be placed in the abdomen causing swelling, but the swelling would return to normal in time. It is July(six months later) and I still have a roll of fat or something remaining from the surgery. The two post-surgery appointments were with the nurse practioner and not with Dr Huguet.
