I was referred to Dr. Shah by my primary care physician due to intense abdominal pain. I lost 15 pounds in a few weeks and had two emergency room visits. Luckily, tests didn't show anything life threatening, but the cause was unclear. It was a very difficult time, but thanks to him I recovered. Dr. Shah is an outstanding doctor, one of the best !!!
Extremely dismissive and condescending to me when I was a patient. I did not feel heard or understood at all. Pushed for surgery instead of trying other alternatives. Impossible to get ahold of but extremely rude if you don’t pick up the phone for his office. I’m shocked by these positive reviews.
The way to contact Dr Shah is to leave a message on an assistant’s voice mail and wait. There is no way to speak with someone in the office. Even new patients are directed to a service. Sometimes they return the call the same day and other times, they get back to you in a few days. Twice I missed one day of my prescription because of the delays. Also, Dr Shaw's PA wrote a prescription for the wrong amount, apparently, they did not check my chart for the dose prescribed by Dr Shah. I get the feeling they do not actually want ... read more
Dr. Shah performed my colonoscopy one month ago: everything went perfectly well. Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Shah and his team.
The way to contact Dr Shah is to leave a message with an assistant and wait. There is no way to speak with someone directly their new patient service or their off hour service. Sometime they return the call the same day and sometime it takes a few days. Twice I missed a day of a prescription because of the delays. I have been a patient of Dr. Shah since 2016, 6 colonoscopy and 3 endoscopy procedures. I wouldn't go to anyone else. He is so kind and caring. Always willing to explain, asks if I have questions and never in a rush. Very thorough and wonderful bedside manner. His staff is great too both at the Digestive Center and his office.
Where is the smile? Very straightforward with answers. When expressed that the cost factor was a factor in the medication I would be able to take he offered online resource without really being a resource himself. I find that he offers medication without much thought. Almost like try this. Try that. No apparent interest in follow up progress outside of TWO months. I first met him when I had my Colonscopy, my previous physician was not available. He explained the procedure. After the procedure he told my husband the results of what he saw, gave him the pictures. He also wrote out what he discussed. Very nice and professional physician.
