I want to Dr. Kerns for a very serious visit and he sped through the appointment, dismissed my concerns, and failed to answer the most basic of questions.
PTSD sufferers stay away! Today the most disturbing, belittling and demeaning appointment made me leave feeling that Dr feels I should disappear. I had a panic attack in the overly loud and unprofessional waiting room. I was taken after over an hour after my appointment time while in a full panic terror watching every white person scheduled through 1:30 taken before me and I was early for a 12:45 Appointment. I have never been treated so poorly by a healthcare provider. I strongly believe that Dr. Kerns went into OB/GYN so that he could belittle women. Highly do not recommend.
If I could give negative starts I would. He couldn't answer any of my questions, incorrectly placed my IUD, put me through unnecessary painful procedures, and charged me for services he did not perform. Overall, I thought he was rude and incompetent.
If you want someone to make you feel like you are getting a hug full of rainbows and butterflies, this is not your guy. If you want someone who is highly competent who will ensure that you are fully informed, Dr. Kerns IS your guy. All aspects of my surgery were completed with exceptional skill and every appointment with him is efficient. That is the kind of medical professional from whom I wish to receive care. I highly recommend Dr. Kerns for routine and emergency care.
I thought Dr Kerns was great, and completely trusted his advice. He seems very well informed, even with new research and guidance. He took the time to answer all of my questions. He talks fast, but I never felt rushed. I like his no-nonsense, factual approach.
I was hesitant to go to a male OBGYN. However, I had great experience with Dr Kern. He was easy to talk to, displayed great active listening skills and was very honest. I would recommend him to anyone;
I do not recommend Dr. Kerns to anyone. I had the worst experience, he was rude, arrogant and would not listen to my concerns or answer my questions. He also refused to run lab work on me that I requested to check my hormone levels. Please take my advise and find a OBGYN that is caring, knowledgeable, and willing to work with you to get to the bottom of your concerns.
Knowledgeable and efficient, but comes off as patronizing and uninterested in patient concerns.
