Horrible experience.. definitely under staffed...going on 8 hrs and still have not been seen..beyond ridiculous..noone knows nothing..next time I'll go out of my way to go to Turlock hospital.
RecommendedI do! But not emergency: My back went out 2 weeks ago, it’s gotten so bad I had to go to emergency at Virginia Mason downtown Seattle, early this morning signing in at 2:38am. I was told it would be less than a 2 hour wait. I explained my back is so bad now that the left kidney area is swollen and cannot get into the specialist until Tuesday. The following is a review I have posted across social media regarding Dr. Michael Campbell. While Dr. Campbell is currently employed at UC Davis, I understand that he completed part of his medical training at Virginia Mason. RecommendedThis hospital is great. I have to say, the night shift nurses are more attentive opposed to the day shift. I was overnight December 11th. The day nurse left me alone in the bathroom and told me to buzz when I needed to go back to bed. I called and 10 minutes later, I walked to bed, this was after a hip replacement. I had to call her to ask for my pain reliever, she would only 1/2 so I called again and requested more. Took over 1/2 hour for her to respond. The CNA was more attentive than the nurse
RecommendedI went to the ER Friday, after several progressive TIA's, scared to death because I knew what was happening. I can not tell you how impressed I was with the ER Staff & the ER Stroke team. From the admitting clerk who immediately called for the nurse, they rapidly assessed and provided care. Their professionalism, kindness and compassion, was truly stellar. Virginia Mason does not provide adequate care. Particularly the urgent care of federal way whose doctor’s closed early because “their brains were tired” even though UC was supposed to be open for hours longer. Three patients being seen does not a busy evening make. Astoundingly bad.

RecommendedMy first child was born there this week. Absolutely excellent staff and service. They took the time to explain everything to us. It was an amazing experience. Food staff was amazing as well. I ordered five delicious guest meals for a total of $23. You can not beat this hospital.
RecommendedI had my daughter here, in 2017. The nurses were so nice, and took care of my girl and I so well. Excellent place!
