Important piece of history that is well taken care of and administered. Both tour guides were amazing and presented the history of the location well. Both tour guides were well informed and it was a pleasant visit all around.
I visited this plantation with my family because I was interested in learning about the history of plantations. After our experience, I have mixed feelings about it because the first tour guide was very informative and respectful in presenting the information. The second tour guide had her own biased views which didn't fit within a professional setting. While visiting these sites provide a learning experience, including the showcasing of the realities of slavery, I believe it's important to approach these visits thoughtfully... read more
