This place is unbelievable it is full of drug dealers and users police are there constantly we lived on traverse for 2 years we had a neighbor who was obviously a drug dealer people always coming and going and when we would contact police they would do nothing and neither would the park. I do not recommend this place it is probably ground zero for the heroin epidemic in the area
Having the Kensington park nearby is really great in the summer, and the highway is right there. Having the office open on weekends is kind of brilliant for the staff. I m sure they get a lot of residents in there on weekends because I know a lot of people work during the day and the place closes at 5. The homes are actually in pretty good shape too, considering the park is older. I know there are a few eye sores here and there, but the yards are always kept up so it s not as bad.
I like that management takes good care of their units. I moved from one that I stayed in for two years into an older unit that they renovated and they did a nice job. New windows and appliances and refurbished floors. My new lease is very similar to my old one, and even though the unit is better, my rent is still very reasonable. Nice grounds and neighbors too :)
This location is perfect. Kent Lake is right across the highway (96), which is right outside the park. Traffic is awful during rush hour because people don t know how to merge and we re so close to Wixom, but otherwise, hopping on the highway is the fastest way to get anywhere from here. Neighborhood is pretty quiet.
Kensington place is nice at first until u mess up then u get nothing but right ups for the dumbs things and also u can t work on ur cars unless u tell the manenger even if u tell him or her u still get a sticker. When the manenger mows she leaves a mess and its your responiblity to get rid of it this place doesn t even get a star that s how bad it is here I have lived here for almost 4 yrs and I hate it and I wish I never moved here! Enough said!
The staff welcomed us with seemingly open arms when we came to apply for a home at Kensington Place. We had the kids come with us, and the sales rep was really good with them. She let them pick out an area of the park they wanted to see and let them fill out their own paperwork (now artwork on our fridge, but who s counting?). We definitely have had nothing but great service from the staff and maintenance!
When I was a kid, my family took us camping at Kensington Metro Park. It s nice to live so close to it now that I can go and enjoy the outdoors daily. I also like that there are laundry facilities in my home. Not a ton of parks Ive seen have that. Usually just the facility at the clubhouse or whatever. But now I don t have to share a washer with anyone or worry about forgetting any socks.
Crisp landscaping, nicely tended homes. I like the heated pool. Helps me keep in swimming season shape. I also like that there s a laundry facility. Saves the trouble of going out to find a laundromat.
Nice area, lots of wild life. Clean park nice neighbors.
