I researched Dr. Sands work for months before scheduling. Everyone said he was brilliant. I did not have a successful experience. I wish the staff would review scans and react to the information faster. After my last scan, it was 2 weeks before I found I have a possible fracture and should not have been doing therapy. This is on my revision surgery. 9 months prior to that I was in therapy and getting worse when a scan showed the appliance was loose. My visits to the office are a 35 minute drive away. I feel very confident with Dr Sands and his staff. One knee replaced October 19 excellent results other knee May 1.
I have the same complaint above about Jen above. She is rude and is insensitive to patients that may have receive dramatic news regarding their condition just prior to sitting at her desk to schedule surgery. I had to drive all the way to the hospital to pick up a bottle of pre-surgery antiseptic soap because Jen would not give me a bottle. The rest of the staff has been amazing!
I had an excellent surgical outcome. After several years of pain & increasing disability that adversely affected my activities of daily living, I am now pain free. Dr Sands, although very busy, took his time @ both my appointments & explained the surgery & post-op precautions. I have seen PA Angelique 3 times & find her not only very competent, but also a very nice person. I've only seen PA Joe once, but he was also very affable & patient with explanations. I highly recommend this practice.
I was referred to Dr Sands for a knee issue, and saw his assistant Joe. I have to say that after getting the MRI Joe explained what my problem was (a torn meniscus), and Joe took the time to explain everything to me and that was no easy task! Both Dr Sands and Joe took the time to to explain everything before the surgery. I have had several surgeries over the years, and this was the first time I felt really comfortable ahead of time. It's now a week after surgery and I am up walking with no pain
Wonderful! Pain free series of shots. First pass review and shot by Dr Sands. Now with his P.A. They are always on time. Gentle and informative. Not 1 of 5 shots in my knee have hurt at all.
Dr Sands is bar none the Best! I would trust no other Doctor with hip or knee surgery. He performed my right hip anterior approach surgery in 2011 and my left hip total revision surgery in September 2019.... this was a very long & complicated surgery that he did with exact precision and great results! I love my Dr. Kenneth Sands and am very thankful that I found him! Not only is he a great physician he has a kind heart and he genuinely cares about you, the patient and your quality of life! E.A.
Love Dr. Sands...great job on knee surgery for torn meniscus..just a feeling of trust in a caring doctor. Joe is great too. Not too crazy about the "schedulers" push and abit short on patience.
