I had surgery on my right eyelid when I was 3 years old. I am now 22. I have had doctor-confirmed 1-2mm of lagapthalamos for 19 years. Never once was I given a follow-up appointment after surgery. My father’s concerns about my dry and irritated eye were dismissed. My experience was from a very long time ago when my daughter had to see a specialist. My daughter was forming words and speaking until she had eye surgery… and lost her ability to speak. She was too little to say that anything was wrong and I’m about 100% sure she had some type of anoxic event or stroke at that time.
