I went to see Dr. Vaz for a cortisone injection for my knee pain. This was my third visit. After the shot, Dr. Vaz gave me a referral for physical therapy. He also took the time to let me know what other non-surgical treatment options were available should the cortisone stop working. He is a great doctor and I travel an hour and a half to see him and it's worth it.
Dr. Vaz is great. My first visit with him was about 20 minutes and he asked numerous questions about my mobility and challenges. He had reviewed my health record before meeting with me which I appreciated so his questions had a lot of context. A tele health follow up after my MRI to discuss potential treatment paths was through. I received my referral for PT the next day. I definitely recommend Dr. Vaz for any orthopedic issues.
I would not recommend Dr\. Kenneth Vaz\. During my appointment, I found him to be very rude, condescending, and mean\-spirited\. While I understand that a physician should discuss lifestyle changes and medical recommendations, the way he spoke to me was disrespectful and made me feel belittled\. Dr. Kennedy Vaz is an exceptionally skilled and caring surgeon with a bedside manner that made me feel like I was his only patient. He was candid about my prognoses yet make clear the decisions to proceed or not were clearly mine alone. I trusted him with my life during two surgeries and would not hesitate to do so again if needed.
