Kick back on the Kennebec Located on the banks of the Kennebec River, the Kennebec Tavern pairs tasty seasonal fare with a front seat view of the sparkling waterfront. Centuries ago, the Abenaki gave the Kennebec River its name, which means "long level water." In the 17th century, sailors called Bath?s three-mile stretch of river the "Long Reach," as it provided deep anchorage and good landing sites, and allowed them to sail the stretch without tacking. Enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner as you watch the activity on the waterf... read more

Something seems to have changed, we have eaten here several times and always been satisfied, but not this time....Slow service last night with plenty of empty tables. Had a 10-15 min wait to be seated. In all took 1 hour 45 minutes from start to finish and we only ordered sandwiches (no drinks, app's or dessert). The food definitely was not the best we have had there. Bread/rolls were hard and just average fillings.
An afternoon by the water, in the sun, with a charming waitress, and delicious beverages, and fantastic music! It was a slice of heaven. Bath, and the Bath waterfront are a picturesque and unique treasure. Ahat is really amazing are the people and the local musical talent a great surprise!
The food and atmosphere was fantastic, the service and friendliness was lacking. Would have given a 5, I think the wait staff needs to be trained in customer service skills, it is the only reason I gave a 3 rating.
Great atmosphere and amazing food. Chef Dave French really knows his stuff! I had the black bean burger with peppercorn mayo and banana peppers with onion rings. The burger was flavorful and all around delicious. And the onion rings were thick and cooked perfectly. Also at the table we had the ribeye sandwich which was tender and delicious. Cooked just how we asked medium rare. With delicious homemade sweet potato fries. Not sure what came with them to dip but the sauce was delicious. Didn't get a chance to have dessert i wa... read more
cant wait to check this place out after reading all the greta reveiws - any idea who I can contact to book a band? I will be in the area over the weekend to give them a promo pack.....Cheryl from Double Entendre :-)
Very poor management. Seems like the only time you acknowledge a review is when it's positive. Don't you think you should be considerate of EVERYONE'S opinion and not just the ones that you like to hear? You're a poor sport in the "fine dining" (?) Industry. Didn't even have an explanation as to why you fired somebody after THREE DAYS of working there, and over the phone of all things. You should be ashamed of yourselves for being a two faced establishment.
A great place to sit outside by the water and enjoy lunch!
One of my favorite places to dine in Maine!
