The cinnamon rolls were awesome first time there must come and try the best chicken fry
Kendall's is perhaps the best marketed small town restaurant in the US. Small town setting adds to the appeal. I had the regular lunch CFS with mashed potatoes and fried okra. Far, far better than most. Not quite Granny's but whose is? Steak was thin but not one bad spot in it. Very tasty. Best part was the cinnamon roll. That was to die for. Not sure I'd drive from DFW just to go there unless I was obsessed with taking the challenge. Good luck with that. If you do accept the challenge by all means take a designated driver. ... read more
The food and service were superb!! We tasted NOTHING bad. I always ask "The Million Dollar question" would I go back again? The answer...ABSOLUTELY!!! I highly recommend the Chicken Fried Steak, the cat-fish, the chicken and dumplings and top it off with their homemade cinnamon rolls!!!
The chicken fry was thin like a slice of balogna with thick batter. Sonny's in Purcell has a better one
