I can't express enough how wonderful, caring, informative the whole team at MD Anderson is!! If you have to deal with Cancer, this is the place you want to go to. The team is amazing from my nurse navigator to Dr. Shay, my surgeon. Dr. Shay was very personable & attentive to my concerns. She is an amazing surgeon. I truly appreciate the whole team approach at MD Anderson, from my nurse navigator to Dr. Shay, my surgeon, thru radiation oncology team. In particular, Dr. Shay was very informative & attentive to my concerns, even took the time to pray with me before I was taken back for surgery. She has been equally informative & attentive at my follow up visits. As a practicing burn PT, she was also receptive to & supportive of my input regarding scar tissue management. Dr.Shay was great explaining things to me and my husband before and after breast tumor removal. She’s kind, caring and knowledgeable. You are in good hands if she’s your surgeon.
Dr. Shay and her staff took very good care of me before and after my breast surgery. She is very caring and explains everything to you so you understand exactly what is going on. I would highly recommend her. She is wonderful!

Dr. Shay removed by gallbladder. She was so professional and sweet. She even asked if she could say a prayer with me right before surgery. She worked hard to get my pain under control after surgery . The incisions from surgery are almost gone after almost 4 weeks. I feel so much better. I highly recommend this Dr. She's wonderful!
