Excellent staff. Dr. Hendricks has the reputation for being one of the best joint surgeons in the Midwest and sometimes that comes with arrogance, but not with Dr. Hendricks. Great listener, makes the patients partner in the decision and treatment processes. Highly recommend!
Dr. Kelly Hendricks is a wonderful person, very compassionate & caring. He is an excellent Orthopedic Surgeon. I first met him in 09/14/2011, I was referred to him by another orthopedic surgeon. I had my right knee replaced in 03/08/2011. It was bad from day 1 & every appointment I had after that surgery I told the him something is very wrong. Six months later I saw Dr. Hendricks. When he opened my leg it was full of infection, it was so bad he considered Amputation. He saved my Rt. Leg
Dr. Hendricks was very attentive and listened to me. He understood my situation and put me at ease. We worked out a plan which I expect to alleviate my pain.

I was injured back in 1985. I have seen a lot of Doctors, especially orthopedics. Dr. Hendricks is the best. His bedside manner is the best. He explained what would be done. He explained how the past damage would be improved. I have recommended him already to some guys needing knee repair. I am very pleased and I am still going through rehab so I will still be his patient for awhile longer.

From day one, I stopped worrying about a total hip replacement when I met Dr. Hendricks. Worry and fear went out the window. For years I had lost use of my hip, and denial being my best trait, I could not bear the thought of Olathe's Finest Firefighters rescuing me from my own bathtub. Everything was explained in detail, with a little humor added to lighten the atmosphere. It's a serious operation, but I sailed through with an excellent team. Just Do IT!. Get your life back.

I feel Dr. Hendricks saved my husbands life in 2015. We came to him after TRK replacement that did not go well. My husband had staff infection from his original surgery. We were so pleased with Dr. Hendricks and the staff at KU Med.
