I was a previous patient (2012-2013 & 2017) of Dr.Hendricks when he was at KU Med. I followed him when he went to Menorah Hospital-KC Bone & Joint Replacement & Sports Medicine. He saved my life in 2013. I’d had 4 hip replacements (2 bilateral). I was referred to him by another orthopedic surgeon who said I needed to see the Regional Expert in complicated, (multiple) hip revisions. I was planning for #’s 5 & 6. Wonderful, caring doctor. My hip surgery and recovery went so well. I will need him again one day for the other hip. On my two year follow up he shared that all looked really good and there has been no change to my old hip. I felt the surgery was not needed yet and he said that was great and would see me in 3-4 years for another follow up unless I felt I needed to see him before then. I loved that! Very timely appointment and caring staff.

Dr. Hendricks has already performed a hip replacement and a total knee revision/replacement. I’m scheduled for him to do the other side. He’s the best ortho surgeon and I trust him implicitly. He has a warm welcoming demeanor and is Extremely knowledgeable and competent. Because he’s so good, he is definitely busy but you are never made to feel that way by any of his staff or him.

I was in a great deal of pain in my right hip. His office got me in for an appointment with Dr. Hendix within 5 days. He gave me as much time as I needed with undivided attention. He went over my x-ray with me and explained my issue and surgical options with all the detail that I wanted. I had an excellent outcome after a total hip replacement and back to doing almost all the athletic activities that I did prior to my hip issue. Dr. Hendrix was competent and caring. I would recommend him to anyone (in fact, I already have!).

I came back with my wife to have her surgery arranged because o the excellent care I received in my own surgery 6 years ago. Dr. Hendricks is still tops in listening, diagnosing, explaining, etc. He put my wife completely at ease and filled her with confidence for the coming surgery. There was a long wait for lab work because they were training a new intake specialist. But everyone has to learn.

I cannot say enough about how professional and caring ALL staff members were during my visit. It is very rare to find a doctor who is very concerned with your medical issues and takes time and treats you like you are his only patient. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone!

When noone else was willing to help right away with my immediate need, Dr. Hendricks saw the need and operated on me right away. Thanks for saving me. You gave me hope and very good care when I needed it most. I will mever forget...never.
