Do Not Go To This Person. She performed a Completely unnecessary surgery on me. I found out later that there is NO SUCH THING as a surgery to repair plantar fasciitis. She is a terrible doctor. She has ZERO oversite from Dr. Lemak. This surgery has negatively changed my life significantly.
I had an MRI for a running injury. one week later I still have not heard anything from the doctor. I have been calling every day and the nurse keeps telling me the doctor has the MRI image but has not reviewed it yet

On July 25th a sustained a severe ankle injury. I was able to meet Dr Iyengar the next day and she performed 2 procedures on my ankle. One to stabilize my talus fracture to give my foot time to reduce swelling, then the surgery to fix my terrible fractures. She is an AMAZING physician and surgeon. I went to Dr Kavita Iyengar by referral from previous practice. She said due to the 5 hour travel to see her see would see me on Fridays. This lasted until after the surgery. Numerous calls to her and her assistant were not answered. I was diagnosed with dry gangrene of the large toe due to the wrap I received at her clinic. No call from me was returned so I had to beg doctors in my area to treat it. I am now in the process of having additional surgery
I was able relax once I met Dr. Iyengar and felt my son was in good hands. This young woman was on point! She had a bedside manner that was nothing like I've seen in a long time. I like the fact that she's fit as well physically fit. Spoke will professional confidence. I left Alabama knowing that I had left my son with great professional staff. They you Dr. Iyengar. I required highly complex fusion surgeries on both ankles.I interviewed 3 surgeons before selecting Dr. Iyengar. She was most thorough in assessing my problem and explaining her surgical plan for me. Under Dr. Iyengar's expert care I received 100% pain relief &improved function from crippling PTTD (posterior tibial tendon deficiency.) Foot/ankle surgery is complicated-don't trust it to anyone but the best. Dr. Iyengar is an excellent surgeon and genuinely cares for her patients.
Very pleased with the outcome of my surgery and follow up care. I had seen other specialist over the years, with no good results. She diagnosed accurately, treated, and my pain is gone! I would highly recommend Dr. Iyengar for anyone with foot or ankle issues.
