Disappointment Wonderful view; however, the service is slow and the food lacks quality. If you are looking for a restaurant with a waterfront view I would recommend someplace else that would provide a better dining experience. Not worth the view.
The Best Happy Hour In town Go for the happy hour, 1/2 price appetizers are great. The only down side of this place is the noise level. The pizza is also world class and worth a try.
Great atmosphere Katie downs is a great place to go after work or to celebrate a birthday. Great atmosphere and the pizza, burgers, menu is awesome. Big room with lots of seating for tons of friends to gather.
Katie Downs Inc Down On The Water Front Such a relaxing place to stop and eat, when I entertain we take them here to Katie Downs because they have the best cold crisp salad and it has great dressing on it. I love the sandwiches, they are big and the pizza is my husband favorite, I think they must make their own sauce. Good food, good people.
Yummy This place has GREAT food. The pizza should be nominated for some kind of award, and the burgers are AMAZING. I would definetely reccomend this place!
Fun place to go – My husband and I love to go to Katie Downs all year 'round. We love the French Dip Sandwich, Chef Salad and Chop Salad. The atmosphere is casual and in good weather, the deck is a great option for those that like to eat outside. In cooler weather, they have heaters to make it comfortable, too. So good!!! and Fun!! – Not only is the view awesome but so is the food! If you are in Tacoma with your sweetie on a nice afternoon i would definately stop to get a bite to eat, but bring your appetite because the pizza's are HUGE!!!
happy birthday.....not!!! – its not really pizza its crust with some over herbed sauce and a tease of your favorite topping. when we found out the 20-25min wait on the pizza we ordered some mozzarilla sticks wich the cheese inside was barely melted or warm and seemed to be served with that over herbed pizza sauce. so i opted for gulf prawns with salad. the salad was wilted and had that out of the bag premixed taste.the batter on the prawns looked burndt but was raw inside the prawn itself was so overcooked it was dry and rub... read more
Katie Down's is Some of the Best Food in Tacoma! The pizza here is amazing! They have tons of varieties as well and it's hand made and baked. Sure you're going to pay a few bucks more for it but you get a view that's tough to beat and service with a smile for certain. This is a great location to drive or sail to in Commencement Bay. Go here and be pleasantly surprised!
