Disappointment Wonderful view; however, the service is slow and the food lacks quality. If you are looking for a restaurant with a waterfront view I would recommend someplace else that would provide a better dining experience. Not worth the view.
TASTY PIZZA/GREAT ATMOSPHERE Katie Downs is the place to go for lunch or a casual dinner. I especially like to meet up with friends for pizza and beer after work. Their menu offers a good selection of food items, as well as a variety of beers and wines. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Prices are competitive. You won't be disappointed by Katie Downs.
Katie Down's is Some of the Best Food in Tacoma! The pizza here is amazing! They have tons of varieties as well and it's hand made and baked. Sure you're going to pay a few bucks more for it but you get a view that's tough to beat and service with a smile for certain. This is a great location to drive or sail to in Commencement Bay. Great atmosphere Katie downs is a great place to go after work or to celebrate a birthday. Great atmosphere and the pizza, burgers, menu is awesome. Big room with lots of seating for tons of friends to gather.
The Best Happy Hour In town Go for the happy hour, 1/2 price appetizers are great. The only down side of this place is the noise level. The pizza is also world class and worth a try.

Great lunch restaurant – Katie Downs has the best pizza in Tacoma. I'm not even exaggerating. I was surprised. The crust was soft and delicious and everything on the menu is affordable. I also love the atmosphere. It was very lively and the waterfront patio was an awesome place to have lunch. I'll definitely be back soon!
Bad Experience – Terrible service today. Forty-five minutes from order time to get served. They weren't that busy, just forgot my order. Then told me the fish tacos take longer to prepare. Shame on them.
