The root canal I received from Dr. Alibhai and team was a dream. Like everyone I had heard the nightmare stories about the procedure. They turned out to be untrue myths. Yes, it is strange to have someone poking around in your mouth for 45 minutes, but with the help of music head phones and the swift hands of Dr. Alibhai and his friendly assistant Anca, it is quick (only 9 songs, I counted) & painless. I didn't like the doctor nor the stuff. Quality does not exist in their vocabulary. My root canal done by him got infected; had to do surgery after one year. Unfriendly stuff too - I'm paying big money guys, please just do a good job and don't make me feel like I owe you something.
Unfriendly stuff and treats 100 patients/hour. Keeps you waiting (with your mouth open) forever while doing something else or being with the other 99 patients.
I was scared to death of this procedure from previous bad experiences...he and his staff were amazing, SO helpful and extremely patinient. Dr. Alibhai told me during our consultation.."remember and practice these words..."wow, that was it? that didn't hurt at all!" And guess what, he was RIGHT! It was my very back molar, not the greatest tooth to work on, and he was great. I kinda wish he was my dentist :) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Alibhai to anyone. I think he may have cured my fear of root canals! =)
I was seen by the other dentist working is his office (Dr Kanji I think). Was the worst experience bar none. Lot of pain, he put so many injections that affected by whole body that my wife needed to pick me up. So they couldn't finish the root canal. Also the worst part is that they bill the insurance before even complete the treatment. I went with other dentist to complete the root canal, but I took more than two months to get the insurance settled. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.
Dr. Alibhai did a root canal on a very difficult molar and he saw to it that I was comfortable and well informed throughout my appt. His office is decorated in a very soothing manner and his staff is tops! I have since learned from my referring dentist that he is considered among the top in his field and after a few "doozies" in my lifetime, I feel very fortunate to have been sent to him. I never want to see any other endodontist.
Dr Alibhai is the best endodontist I have ever been to see. I have had root cannels done by 5 different endodontists and one general dentist--He's the best. Beautiful office, great staff, and he explains everything he is doing. He's gentle and painless. His 3 root "fills" on my back tooth were perfect which he showed me on the x-rays. I feel very lucky to have been referred to him by my dentist, which indicates she and her mother both know quality specialists. The waterfall in his office is worth the trip by itself.
