Best Brewery in Madison. Chill atmosphere, great beer, with a speak easy type of location.
I think that this brewery is simply delightful. The beer is the best beer I've EVER tasted. The deviled eggs are great. They look like poo, but they taste like magic.
We got a few appetizer "boards" and the meat/cheese platter was not worth the money because there wasn't enough on there to justify the price and it took them about 40 minutes to bring them out. I wouldn't suggest bringing the food outside - we were swarmed with bees that took over the food. The beer was fine, atmosphere was not. Positive note, the waitress we had was friendly and helped bring our food in from the patio.
Service and food are mediocre at best. Server provided food boards without any napkins, utensils or plates. V8 was substituted for a tomato juice but likely because the server did not know the difference. The deviled eggs were unappetizing and resembled little cups of poo...mostly the flavors were poorly executed. Crostini are toasted breads NOT packaged seasoned pita chips. The table enjoyed the beer. Go for the beer not the food or service.
Champagne Tortoise. Come float this one! Great place especially for this part of town.
I shit my pants there it was so good. The tour was very good and I won a free t-shirt from a Co2 powered cannon. I regret nothing. Night bros
Love the beer selection and doesn't hurt that it's in the old Ale Asylum building and the artwork on the labels bottles are so cool.
Super cool spot, stopped while driving thru to Minneapolis. Beers are unique and the food very tasty, got the 2 dish option-half sandwich and soup. Try them out!
Very beautiful place I would like to go their someday soon...!!!
