I had my back surgery with Dr. Kapil Moza yesterday Tuesday Feb 16, 2016. I had Minimally Invasive Spine decompression surgery for my L5-S1 disk. This was done as an outpatient and I was home the same day. I have had two prior back surgeries before one in 1978 and 1990. Dr. Moza is one of the top Neurosurgeons in Los Angeles. Even though his office is in Thousand Oaks, CA I recommend anyone who is looking for a top Neurosurgeon to make the appointment and drive there. Surgery on your back is a big decision to make and you de... read more
Dr. Moza is the only surgeon you should go to!! Save yourself the trouble I went through, I needed a disk replacement at my L4-L5 and a fusion at my L5-S1. My previous Dr. drove the scruw through the center of my nerve on the right side, it took him 5 days to admit he had done something wrong only because another Dr. at cedars-Sinai that checked in with everyone, every night was worried about how much pain I was in after a fusion and sent me for a CT scan... I was sent in for an emergency surgery to fix the problem 5 days lat... read more

Dr. Moza has lived up to expectations. I was suffering from severe back pain due to a central stenosis for some time. No other treatment worked so it was time to commit to spinal fusion. From the onset, I knew Dr. Moza was the surgeon for me. He was glowing with confidence and I felt ready for the surgery. In my life, I have always had the best and I knew he was the best neurosurgeon for the job. He was prompt in identifying the source of my pain and the solution. That's true leadership. I wasted no time and could not wait t... read more
I went to see Dr. Moza because of the problem of my C3 C4 C5. The disk squirted too much to my spinal canal that it squeezed my spinal cord. As a result, this caused numbness and weakness on both of my legs and fingers. I was so weak to the point I cannot stand or walk without assistance. The worst thing was the numbness was slowly creeping up to my body. I was shocked and scared when he told me I can be quadriplegic if I wasn't careful. Unfortunately, surgery was the only option. Dr. Moza is the kindest and caring doctor I'... read more
I was referred to Dr. Moza by my internist after x-rays and MRIs of my cervical and lumbar spine revealed serious problems causing severe pain in my neck, lower back and legs. At my first visit with Dr. Moza, I indicated I'd prefer physical therapy to surgery as treatment. He explained that only surgery could correct the cervical problems but I could try physical therapy for the lumbar spine even though standing erect, walking even a few feet, and moving my legs while lying down caused intense pain in my lower back and down ... read more
The best spine surgeon! He was friendly, caring and his staff was always responsive with everything from appointments to billing questions. The surgery was a complete success!
Dr. Moza saved my life! I came to him in tremendous back pain. I was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor. Dr. Moza was very compassionate and walked me through the surgical process. After my surgery I was greeted by Dr.Moza and he told me he expects me to make a full recovery. It has been 11 weeks post op and I am using a walker to get around and starting to use a cane in my home. He told me recovery is typically 6-12 months with this type of surgery. I am glad to say I have experienced zero pain post op and and rehabbing to ... read more
