Overall great experience with Kape Property Management! Noam and team were always very quick to respond to service requests and completed work in a timely manner.
I used to be the landlord of 527 W Hyde before it was sold to the current owners. Since the change in ownership, my experience as a tenant has been very disappointing. Please be cautious if you’re considering renting here. The building is quite old and has ongoing maintenance issues. While I was living there on a month-to-month basis (after my lease expired), my rent was raised without any notice—no email, no call, nothing. Raising the price of apartments by 65% within days of the recent devastating fires in LA and taking advantage of people desperately looking for a roof over their head after losing everything is not only disgusting and extremely unethical, it’s ILLEGAL by law. Shame on you.
I saw and applied for a unit the day before rhe Oalisades Fire. The day of the fire, they increased the price of the unit by $1000 and two days later it’s now $2000 more vs the original post date. They keep on saying it was posted wrong which really they just want more money due to sudden need for housing in the area. Unit was great - nicely maintained. Shady management IMO.
