I have a lump between my thumb and pointer that has caused me pain for 2 years now. I went to PCG Plastics and he said it was probably fatty tissue. They managed to get me an MRI scheduled. I had to call them back when the results came in and they scheduled me a follow up. He said there was no tumor, no mass that needed cut out. Great! I saw him regarding an issue with my finger. During the 1st visit prior to a MRI the option of removing it came up. Response- NO. I had the MRI & went back for results. It's weird because at the end of this visit he felt the need to let me know the next day he'd be removing a man's hand. WHAT? According to him & the MRI it looks like this is part of my journey. I was told if infection happened give him a call. I gave them a call and that appt was a waste of time. He totally ignored the fact that the cuticle was not like this... read more

Dr. Kamran Shayesteh is an exceptional Hand Surgeon as well as a Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon. He is very compassionate and caring. Any free time out of his busy practice, he is either traveling, biking across the East Coast or out skiing the entire winter months!
Dr. Shayesteh has done three hand/tendon sheath surgeries for me to release trigger fingers. All were successful with no recurrence of the condition. He is easy to talk to and explains procedures well, even as he is doing the surgery with a local anesthetic. Competent surgeon and a nice person with a much-appreciated professional bedside manner. Highly recommended.
I would highly recommend Dr. Shayesteh. Great surgeon with a wonderful personality.
