I have an upcoming scheduled MRI for a knee injury. My appt was scheduled for 6:30 am, I tried 2 weeks in advance to schedule some routine blood lab work, figured I could get the MRI and lab work done all on one visit, but nope! My Dr declined to order any blood work until I scheduled a visit first to discuss my health. Da!!! That's why you schedule the lab first, so you have the results to discuss when the patient arrives. Ended up getting unexpectedly admitted to the hospital this past weekend. All the staff I spoke to and interacted with were unfailingly kind and knowledgeable. I know they were taking care of multiple patients at any given time but still responded quickly to my needs and were great at explaining things and involving me in my care
I've never felt so taken cared for in a hospital before, being treated as a person rather than a documented patient goes a long way. I hope I stay healthy but when I need help, this place will be my first choice.
